STAFF

Ms. Marian Doyle was the Nurse/Manager for 31 years until her retirement in October 2020. The Centre is now managed by Ms. Wendy Sinnott.

Chef Jackie Deering also retired in October 2020 and the kitchen is now under the guidance of Chef Gavin Byrne.

Clients may have a bath or shower any day with the help of personal care assistants. This service is free to clients.

The office administrator (Emma Gartland) and assistant office administrator’(Lorraine Byrne), answer the phone, look after the accounts, payroll, Meals on Wheels administration, banking and assist the Manager on a daily basis.

There are nine drivers who collect clients daily, leave them home, deliver meals on wheels, and drive clients on outings and holidays.

CENTRE IS FUNDED BY HSE AND DSP

Tullow Day Care Centre has relied on the assistance of the DSP/Community Employment Scheme from the very beginning and could not have survived and flourished without it. At present, we have 36 participants, 1 Supervisor and 1 assistant Supervisor. The Day Care Centre is partly funded by the HSE, which helps towards the employment of 15 staff members.
